I’m an older Pede, so if I sound like a geezer at this point, so be it. These two look to be about the age where (35ish) they were “raised” on video games, etc. In game land it doesn’t matter what you do, just hit restart if you mess up. Too big a mess? It’s ok, just go online for the cheats. Bored? How about a little XXX while mom cooks dinner, she’ll never find it in your history.
Then they grew up, left sloppy trails of the game play and XXX and are hunting the reset to snag another life. They ALL seem programmed to me; unafraid of consequences and absolutely convinced they are harmless.
As an aside, many also give off an air of simply not caring. What did we allow them to do to this generation and how much worse is the next one?
I'm afraid it goes even further back than video games. The same behavior can be seen in those who were left to be raised by their TV sets and radios. The coping mechanism of "just hit the reset" is merely the latest variation of "just change the channel" or "just turn the dial". It's all part of the same drone programming system. The only real change over time is how much the system has saturated everyday life. In the past it was much easier to get away from it all. Now it's practically impossible.
