Because hockey is harder to learn than most other sports, instead of the college path top young players are often sent off instead at ~14 to hockey boarding schools to prep them for major juniors, then minor pro and beyond
Facts. My boarding school was one of the most elite Hockey schools in the nation.
Awesome! Of course I gotta ask, which NHL club were you drafted by? :) jk unless I'm not
Haha naw I didn't play hockey myself. I was the one choking them out on land because they were douchebags and thought they were tougher than everyone, even though my wrestling team (where i was a co-captain my junior and senior years) was indisputably tougher.
I was cool with most of them on an individual basis, but when they roamed around in mobs, they would fall into a mob mentality and would end up trying to bully everyone. Lots of recruits from Canada as well as the Slavic countries as well as Russia.
