Gmail sent my confirmation email to spam. I’m not saying Google was trying to block it. I find many legit emails in spam, I’ve been receiving for years. I didn’t get an error message but it wouldn’t register my username. Also didn’t say name was taken. I went to the app & it let me register. I’m thinking my problem was trying on the internet. IDK I’m reading they are having major problems. Sounds like more people are interested than they planned.
