Probably because Google can block and modify apps on its play store. You'd have to release a direct apk file, which from what I know would work, at least for now. There is definitely vulnerabilities for any platform but I do know Huawei which trump fought was making cellphone/wifi modems that were spying and backdooring people hence why they got banished. Any computer device can be hacked and has back doors so I don't really see the reason here as of yet.
