I think it is being spun as Putin recognized the regions of Donetsk People's Republic and Luhansk People's Republic, located in Ukraine's eastern Donbas region, as independent. Then I heard he is sending military aid to them. So he is "invading". I thought it was a great stategy by Putin.

The areas Putin is recognizing as autonomous regions — as in seceding from Ukraine, are ethnically Russian and have been under Soros-UN-State Department-C_A color revolution since 2013.
This was an Obama-Clinton, Victoria Nuland aggressive operation that killed at least 14,000 since 2014, but estimates up to 50,000 are possible.
The US has broken numerous promises since 1989 to not expand NATO eastward, and have been truly poking the bear by trying to add Ukraine into NATO. That would be like Russia adding Canada to the [obsolete] Warsaw Pact. Obviously it is Putin’s red line. And it should be ours too — it would obligate us to defend Ukraine against any “armed attack.”
Ukraine never really formed a constitution after the 1989 dissolution of the Soviet Union — oligarchs have not let that happen, it would get in the way of “business.” Russia has formally complained about this in the UN, that the UN is perpetuating Ukraine as a failed state to destabilize Russia.
I’m over simplifying, but the point is Biden is pushing Putin’s red line to force Putin’s hand (defending Russia from NATO aggression) as a pretext for war.

There's no question in my mind President Zelensky's recent meeting with Biden was about getting him on-board very quickly with this narrative. However, it didn't work out for Biden and his WEF backers. This is why Zelensky joked sarcastically last week that the Russian invasion would occur on "Wednesday". And the legacy media purposely ran with this statement as being 'serious' while completely ignoring the previous Russia and Ukraine meeting making inroads for a peaceful resolution to the region's tensions. This fact actually backs up my premise that Zelensky should have added -- "at High Noon" to his "Russian invasion on Wednesday" remark to make his sarcastic remark sound even more ridiculous.
Zelensky is not going to agree to a very bad deal for Ukraine that the US is pushing. It is insanity. Zelensky will however go after and bilk the Biden gang for the billion dollars being offered by the Biden Administration as the carrot to go along with this ridiculous narrative. It seems to be the history of Washington's relationship with Ukraine.
A billion dollars to Ukraine isn't worth the cost to the abject carnage and annihilation to Ukraine if Russia is forced into war. There's no amount of money that would insulate Ukraine from this end result. Zelensky knows this. Putin knows this too. And I'm convinced the two leaders assured each other war between the two governments is not an option, but bilking the Biden administration of the billion dollars was.... well is a plausible option. Watch for it......
Now, it appears Zelensky was forced to back away from the Russian Peace Accord. Putin publicly stated Ukraine was not interested in a peaceful resolution over the tensions over the two breakaway Oblasts. It appears that Zelensky really wants that billion dollar carrot. Even Putin stated that the Ukraine never achieved stable statehood and had to depend on the US for foreign aid. No one in Europe wants to support a very corrupt Ukraine. This has been the reason why the Ukraine is not part of NATO.
Putin played his card very well by responding to Zelensky and the Deep State by announcing to the world Russia has no plans to invade the Ukraine and is recognizing the independence of the two breakaway Oblast of Donetsk and Lugansk. Checkmate.
