Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.
That great Master became the personification of Christ by his disciples after his material death, which was and is an ancient tradition, but the historical man, Jesus of Nazareth (called so because of the Egyptian origins of Christianity -- as his birth name as any historian will tell you was Yeshua, not Iesus), was not "the Christ," which is why it is said, in the NT, Jesus told his disciples not to call him that title, instead preferring the title "Son of Man."
Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even Christ.
As no man can be Christ, neither can any man be its opposite. These are principles within each of us, one leading to Life and the other to Death.
This is essentially correct.
The red letters read:
That great Master became the personification of Christ by his disciples after his material death, which was and is an ancient tradition, but the historical man, Jesus of Nazareth (called so because of the Egyptian origins of Christianity -- as his birth name as any historian will tell you was Yeshua, not Iesus), was not "the Christ," which is why it is said, in the NT, Jesus told his disciples not to call him that title, instead preferring the title "Son of Man."
As no man can be Christ, neither can any man be its opposite. These are principles within each of us, one leading to Life and the other to Death.
May Christ reign supreme in all of our hearts.
