Yes! And you start to realize that whatever happens, you'll get through it. It's a truly empowering feeling. Before you know it you'll find yourself once again able to make plans for the future.
That's awesome to hear fren, it is indeed an awesome feeling to know you're prepared, and to be able reclaim some measure of control over your own destiny. I always say that luxury is stupid - security is where it's really at. I would rather live modestly knowing I have a nice stash of food, precious metals and other tangible assets for emergencies, than living in pointless luxury and not be prepared.
BTW check out aeroponics gardening if you're not familiar with it, it's ideal for indoor gardening because aeroponic towers utilize the vertical space in a room, allowing to grow more stuff in any given space. Vegetables also grow much faster with this method.
And a freeze-dryer, while expensive, is also a great way to preserve what you grow (freeze-dried food lasts 25-30 years without refrigeration, it's insane).
I got a dehydrator and a vacuum sealer for Christmas. Freeze dryer on a budget! ;) I looked into the towers but had a huge room not being utilized and itβs turned into a jungle. GAW motivated me and now I have half the basement with fresh veggies and the other half with cans and prepping material.
That's so great to hear. Yeah GAW motivated me as well, as did the plandemic and Xiden being "inaugurated". 2021 was the year I started truly working toward becoming self-reliant.
I don't have a freeze-dryer either, but I'm hoping to be able to afford one eventually. Dehydrators work well too though. I don't have much space for indoor gardening but I plan to build a greenhouse ASAP.
Best of luck with your garden and prepping, fren. See you on the other side of the storm! :)

Happy prepping fren! :)
My based friend and I started a basement garden in a little greenhouse. We now have a 12x15 room jungle! It does feel good knowing weβll be ok!
