Well, Q did say numerous times "NO OUTSIDE COMMS", so we'll have to see

This would totally count as outside comms, so he risks a huge hit to his credibility if he comes out now and goes "OK guys I know I said no outside comms. That's the first and only lie I've told so far, honest! I changed my mind, here's some TOTALLY outside comms!"
