Long story super short... 2014 (OBAMA) started the takeover of Ukraine. Ukraine then became the hotbed for the deep state. Note all the politician children getting lucrative energy board jobs there. Russia is now going in to "take out the trash" and shut the deep state down in their home base so to speak.

Yes, the CIA has been working on Ukraine for 25 years or so via expats like Nuland I think she said that $5Bn has been spent on changing Ukraine.
