He then told the Ukrainian people “Your fathers and grandfathers did not fight so you could ally with Neo-Nazi’s”
Normally when I hear people called Nazi’s I sort of dismiss it these days because it’s become a throw-out word, but Putin doesn’t have the habit of calling anyone and everyone a Nazi.

The Neo Nazis in Greece aka Golden Dawn actually seized some power for brief period. But they were shut down after they tried to shut down dissenting voices with violence and then led a criminal organization.
Neo Nazis have operated in Ukraine for some time and the Western powers have looked the other way.
And the Russians are not happy about that at all.
