The cops weren't shy about declaring their intention to retaliate, this is a pretty stupid thing to follow through on. Especially with the failure of the EA.
Giving people with nothing left to lose is always a bad idea.
This is Canada's J6 and the boot of the government there is not yet finished coming down on the necks of those involved. They are not stupid with their actions because this is exactly the image they wanted to project and I am afraid they are only just getting started. They were no different in their actions when enforcing the lockdowns. They have had the same kind of purging taking place within law enforcement and their military as what has been taking place here in the States. Those based patriotic individuals have been forced out leaving behind those that are willing to follow orders.
I hope the US protesters are paying attention and taking measures to harden themselves against similar attacks.
It was to be expected, there was a strong hope that they would have kept strong. Although they did until the police really went all out in trying to create the violence by acting violently.
Especially canceling the EA, it's stupefying that they would consider continuing to pursue this because of how the cops have created so many opportunities for liability on much more serious crimes than the 'mischief' charges they are pursuing.
I do have to agree that justin had been trying to create this J6 narrative around the truckers, one thing we are lucky about is that they were never provided that opportunity.
Oh well, we managed to doxx a solid number of the police that were there, on top of at least 4 police and 1 RCMP are facing internal investigations (the ones where they are stripped of any union protection, legal funds, and the liability is exempt from their employers insurance coverage).
None of this is over though, just a regrouping effort for the time being.
You are right. They cannot let up on those that used the color of authority to use unwarranted violence against the people. They must keep the pressure up on bringing some kind of justice against those specific officers responsible. I am glad to hear that. Without creating a violent incident like J6, it still has the same effect. Political opposition is still hunted down and persecuted. I just pray the Canadians have the networks in place to help out those that have been targeted for taking a stand. Otherwise, it will discourage others from doing the same thing. This is where the citizenry must rally around and support those on the front lines. This is going to get a whole lot uglier before it gets better. We can count on it. Thanks for your thoughtful and well stated reply fren.

And the police wonder why they're losing support.
