Not surprised: my energy levels drop if I don't eat meat at least twice a week. All my relatives ate meat almost daily and lived to advanced age (86-93), were mentally and physically fit. All the vegetarians I know have aged badly.
The Vegans where I once worked were the most sickly of all the employees. A few had serious sugar/candy addictions. But they felt so virtuous.
My liberal niece is one — but could drink anyone under the table and smoked 2 packs of cigarettes a day — but she’s so virtuous for her “ veganism” 😑
Yeah, a former vegan co-worker of mine loved her wine. Ate soy cheese and vegan crackers with it. Puke.
I knew a girl who wouldn't feed her kids meat. Her daughter's hair would never grow. And the kids always had this glazed over look in their eyes as if they weren't fully there.
How awful.
It was really sad to see.
Did they wear leather shoes?
No. The popular phrase now used for manmade materials in shoes is "vegan leather". I guess plastic and vinyl are more virtuous. FWIW, most vinyl shoes are garbage and don't breath.
Hard to find decent leather shoes these days. Clarkes still uses leather for most of its footgear. I pay a lot for mine, but they last for several years. Hardly any shoe repair businesses can be found anymore to fix rundown heels, etc., so I found online videos that explain how to fix things.
Yes. I have an aunt who is a strict vegetarian, and she looks AWFUL. My meat & potatoes-eating father looks half her age and is only 4 years younger.
