Good point. But it seems to me that if enough corruption within Ukraine is exposed, and connected to foreign rivals, it would support all of the goals you listed for Putin. While exposing corruption within Ukraine is [highly] unlikely to be the primary objective for what Russia wants, I think it is nearly certain that defaming the current Ukrainian govt. and its corrupt foreign accomplice's is a high priority objective for Vlad.
