In the recording, we can hear the Russian warship telling the Ukrainians to surrender, over the radio. (I'm assuming the subtitles are correct.) Then we hear the Ukrainians directly - not over the radio - ask, "should I tell him to go fuck himself? Just in case." (No idea what "just in case" means here.) The fact that we hear the Ukrainians directly means this recording was taken by the Ukrainians, right? Then what do we hear? We hear "Russian warship, go fuck yourself" ... received on the radio, with exactly the same audio tone as the audio received from the Russians. Now, I'm no expert in military radios, but usually when you transmit on a radio, the radio doesn't blast your own voice back at you.
Is this fake? It's almost like whoever made this recording wanted to make it clear that the "go fuck yourself" part was transmitted on the radio, not just spoken. But now it doesn't seem to make much sense.
I've considered that it might be megaphones, not a radio, but again consider: 1. the Ukrainian megaphone sounds exactly the same as the Russians', and 2. at 15s it sounds like other radio signals being received in the background, suggesting it's a radio room, indoors.
Can anyone make sense of this?
