Okay so, update: So far as I can tell Pepe Escobar has not provided source confirmation of his claim. Does anyone know a credible journo who might be inclined to query the guy on twitter or do a kind of peer to peer thing? I don't know anybody. Will keep watching his posts and look for articles, but nothing as of this morning.

Last piece Escobar did in Asia Times was an Op/Ed in December. Need a journo to reach out to the guy like a peer to peer thing.
