They pulled the same thing with Hussein. If you laid out a thoughtful refutation of Obama's tax policy, stating how it would be bad for American taxpayers, all you got from the left was how "raaaaaaaaaaaacist" you were, and that you couldn't see past the fact that he was a (half) black man.

What I came to understand in time is that they were projecting their own fixation on race onto those critical of his policies. THEY voted for him because they couldn't see past his skin color, and they didn't want to consider anything else with respect to qualifications for POTUS. Same with HRC's XX chromosome situation. They wanted a female President, so they voted for the female candidate.
