I have never seen a helicopter quite like it and it is loud. I see a lot around, in the flight path of AF base and I am like a 5 yr old boy when I hear aircraft, I have to run outside and see it.

The MH-139A Grey Wolf will support the intercontinental ballistic missile missions of the US covering Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, Colorado, and Nebraska while complementing the country’s nuclear deterrence operations in line with the National Defence Strategy.
The multi-mission helicopter can also be utilised for transporting the US government officials and security forces, civil search and rescue missions, airlift support, National Capital Region missions, and survival school and test support.
Hmmm interesting...
What does a grey wolf helicopter mean? Is it used only for certain things? Does it carry more or less cargo? Do tell.
Thanks for the video
Yes. I never heard one sound exactly like it. The first time I was busy and could no run outside, I knew it was different with the sound. I got a good look at it yesterday. I flew over an open area near my house where there were no trees blocking it.

Not quite.
Well thats reassuring :)
Imagine though ... Russian mil helicopters buzzing around a US airbase.
Isn’t the Grey Wolf supposed to be the replacement for the UH-1N Huey?
So exciting! 👏👏👏
Do you have skyglass? If not get it.
My laptop only has Linux. So I don’t think I can run it on it. I’m just learning Linux.
flightaware usually has some interesting flight patterns
Nice! Are you sure it's not an Apache? They both have a bulgy nose. I've seen quite a few Apaches lately. I'm sure that up close it's easy to tell them apart. But when you don't know, they're a ways away, and they don't stop to strike a pose...
Anyway, I sometimes run outside to see them, too, and I've been seeing both, but mostly Apaches.
No, I have seen lots of those. It was flying lower than they usually do so I got a good look. So I started looking a pics.
Cool.
