while the reflex reaction to him getting a "year and a day" for defrauding a tribe is "slap on the wrist" there are two points that become visible once one calms down and stands back a little.

1. the first to talk gets the deal.

2. they just let everyone know he got a deal.

number one means that he rolled on pelosi's kid, romney's kid, and biden's kid--and everyone else involved.

number two means that we have progressed to the point where his deal is no longer a card they need to hold close to the vest. there are two options here: a) cage rattle to shake things loose b) they're already fukked.

with the pace everything is moving at lately, i'm leaning towards (b)
