How do you think it would throw off the DS? Seems like attacks against the professor and Lin keep escalating whereas not so much for Jovan.

Moves and countermoves, the DS is not omniscient. I've suspected fir a long while that Lin is supposed to be a crazy wildcard role to distract them and fake fighting could do the same.
