Fake and gay... uploaded days ago... not early 2000's low definition 144/240p.
This looks like footage released before.
Camera quality is right for a high end camera of the time.
I say it's fake for other reasons listed.
This was not uploaded years ago.
Youtube in the early days only allowed 144p to be uploaded.
This was a recent upload.
I know full well that SD video could be captured by high end digital camcorders.
I was born in 1981 so I'm intimately familiar with the capabilities of our technology back then.

Consumer cameras had 2.74 megapixel+ camera technology in 2001.
Your phone has between 8 and 12 per camera.
240p (actually was closer to 480p in 2001 for 4:3) is display resolution, not the resolution that we could record in.
So you know what's fake and gay? Your knowledge of our past technology.
This video could be too; that's always a possibility. But that lack of knowledge is a certainty.

the link did not open for me, but from what I read, if the video was recorded with a good analog camera, you may not notice quality changes as bad.
just to let you know, analog tech can actually hold way more data than digital.
