Part of my own personal awakening was watching the USA piss away a golden opportunity to work with Russia once the Cold War started to thaw in the late 80s/90s. You can thank HW Bush and Clinton for that ... the first of the two neo-Deep State POTUSes we had that led to this mess (I know the DS has existed for a long time, but it seems like this most recent attempt at world domination started during the HW Bush Administration).
