I don't wear sports clothes. I don't buy Nike, Adidas, or any other athleti-wear clothing.

So, let's say Adidas decides to stop using child labor (BIG what-if, but let's just dream for the sake of argument).

Due to Adidas' public image of ridding the textile industry of the child slaves, even making commercials and statements insinuating its competitors use child labor while they don't, Nike goes on the offensive.

Ten years go by, and, Adidas would have been swamped with tons of predatory commercial practices by Nike to demoralize, placate, and frame Adidas in addition to attempts to ruin them from the inside out.

Then, Adidas decides to sue Nike for corporate espionage, corporate sabotage, defamation, etc.

Nike has the Media in their back pocket, so they drum up all sorts of attention to further cast Adidas as the instigator, trying to drum up public support against Adidas' corporate law suit. Anyone following the case knows Adidas is in the right, even if they went on the offensive first with anti-Nike themed commercials, but if Nike is willing to use child slaves then a few bribes and lies told through the MSM to frame Adidas are fair game.

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about Adidas or Nike because I don't purchase anything they make, I don't care about their stocks as companies, and I could care less about who wins a lawsuit that doesn't affect me.

I do, however, agree with this hypothetical Adidas' goal in ridding the textile industry of child labor. Even if Adidas took the stance against child labor solely to use as a publicity stunt, it's the correct stance to take.

So, by default, I will side with Adidas -- regardless of what Adidas and Nike did to sabotage one another's businesses. Nike is filth and Adidas is simply focused on Adidas' public image, which is to be expected. Is Adidas actually, factually, honestly making strides in eliminating child labor? Who really knows?

My point is, I don't buy from them anyway, so ultimately I have no dogs in the fight and the most I should be expected to offer is a thumbs up to Adidas, because I don't want to buy anything they are selling anyways. I couldn't care less what happens so long as child labor is done away with.

Replace Adidas with Russia and Ukraine with Nike.

This is how I view Russia and Ukraine. I'm not anti-Ukraine and I'm not pro-Russia. I'm pro-People, just as I would be pro-People in the case of athletic apparel. So, if Putin is working towards that end while also taking out a detestable competitor, then go Putin!
