What can the funds be used for? What's its purpose?
I use the browser for this site and others, trying to stay away from the main ones, and have accumulated a few BAT (whatever that is). Apparently I don't pay much attention.

*Browser.... I'm not retarded. I'm just sleepy. ;)
You can use an Uphold Wallet as well to transfer brave funds automatically. Realistically you get $5 or less a month, but it does add up.
Thanks so much!!
Bat is a token that can be traded on the exchanges.
Not sure how you extract the bat from your browser.
The intended use case is that as you browse you collect bat and then you spend that bay one web sites that you like.
So as you are browsing look at the triangle icon next to the location url. Click it. This will tell you if this web site or you tuber has a verified bat wallet. If they do then you can give the bat to the content creator without it costing you gas or anything and then the creator will be able to exchange the bat for btc on an exchange.
Oooh!! That helps! Thanks!!
You need a minimum of 15 BAT to withdraw from the browser if I remember correctly. But I think you may need to setup a account to do so.
You can use it to tip sites. Just recently poal.co announced it is accepting BAT
You can sell the tokens on a crypto exchange. Or use them on websites that have it set up.
Thank you!!
I've been using Brave for a few years now and have accumulated about 400 BAT which is around $285 in my wallet. I've never done anything with it yet, I suppose I might be saving them up to convert to crypto, but I don't know much about how that works yet.
I think the idea behind the BAT is that you can automatically 'tip' content providers (that have Brave rewards on their end) in lieu of the browser blocking all of their ads.
You can set the numbers of pop up ads you see per hour. I think the max is 5 or 6. The more ads you see, the more BAT you receive each month. They're just little pop up boxes that appear in the bottom corner of the browser. They're pretty unobtrusive and are easy to close. I rarely click on them and close them without thinking about it.
Mine show up on the top of my tablet's screen. I never open them, just letting them accumulate. ;)
I am completely illiterate in crypto. I appreciate your help!
