The Wallenberg family is a prominent Swedish family dynasty renowned as bankers, industrialists, politicians, bureaucrats, and diplomats.
Following their family motto, they keep a very low-key public profiles, eschewing conspicuous displays of wealth. Their influence is used behind the scenes, and the family has had members on the Bilderberg Steering Committee and several other attendees.
In the 1970s, the Wallenberg family businesses employed 40% of Sweden's industrial workforce and represented 40% of the total worth of the Stockholm stock market.[1] The Wallenbergs are present in most large Swedish industrial corporations, like Ericsson, Electrolux, ABB, SAAB, SAS Group, SKF, Atlas Copco and more. In 1990, it was estimated[By whom?] that the family indirectly controlled one-third of the Swedish Gross National Product. [2]
The two overarching companies are the holding company Investor AB, which again owns the bank Skandinaviske Enskilda Banken (formerly Stockholmska Enskilda Banken).
The people companies and other entities around the Wallenberg family is commonly known as the Wallenberg Sphere.
From wikispooks. The Wallenberg family likes to keep a low profile and remain out of the news. https://wikispooks.com/wiki/Wallenberg_family
This description reminds me of the book, "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo". The Vanger family in the book was into all areas of business in Sweden. Sad part is that the author Stieg Larsson died just after dropping off the first three installments into the Lisbeth Salander series. I always wondered if the author was giving factual info written into fiction and someone offed him because of it.
Totally. And that was all about human trafficking and abuse of mental health/shelter or refuge victims
Yep I think he hit the nail on the head with that series and it was much too close for comfort. I really enjoyed the way he put statistics in his books. Made it easier to follow and understand.
Interesting, but this thread is about Switzerland, not Sweden.
Yoda: Right you are.
