Zelensky really is a comedian.

It takes years to train a pilot to fly a military fighter plane.

If an old plane is decommissioned they may get mothballed. Those planes for example a “ harrier jump jet “ from the 80s would need a team to service them. In addition the weaponry would be out of date and modern missiles incompatible with them.
