Seems like if russia really was unhinged warmongering then why wouldnt china use this world distraction to take some land of his own?

Exactly. He was telling the truth when he said this was a small military operation to protect the Ukrainians and not an invasion. The MSM is hiding all the images of Ukrainians welcoming Russian troops with open arms.
