That’s so weird I listen to Absolute 80s and for months I’ve been zoning in on “ Our Lips Are Sealed” by The Fun Boy Three, as my trying to make sense of it all song. The lyrics seem to fit with the moment in 2022.
Can you hear them? They talk about us Telling lies Well, that's no surprise Can you see them? See right through them They have no shield No secrets to reveal Doesn't matter what they say In the jealous games people play Hey, hey, hey Our lips are sealed There's a weapon That we must use In our defense Si-lence When you look at them Look right through them That's when they'll disappear That's when we'll be feared It doesn't matter what they say In the jealous games people play
I was expecting Boy George. Same time, never heard that one before, pretty good.
Double Fantasy is what my mom got for me in 1980-81 by John Lennon.
AMAZING! And so appropriate for today!
First record I ever bought to play on the HiFi was The Great Pretender by The Platters. That should be Biden's theme song.
Good stuff. I remember my first album, Big Country- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=657TZDHZqj4
From the time I was a kid my worst fear was that I would be attacked by a tribe of Zulu's. I guess that was result of watching Johnny Weissmuller Tarzan shows all the time.
