Too many if them are invested/paid off by big pharma and insider trading. Corruption, not incompetance.

Corruption and incompetence are often closely associated. The corruption masks the incompetence through bribes, blackmail, blackballing, bully tactics, undermining, reputation tarnishing, etc. Corruption with wealth can hide a great deal of shortcomings.
