What is worse is,... Masks are discriminating against an often over looked but important handicapped group of people... Deaf people who NEED to read lips to understand what is being said.
We always had to face my grandmother when we talked to her, but she understood everything we said when we did. Had to be careful too, because when she was younger and her eyes were better she could tell what you were saying from across the yard.
In 2020 she died, of a stroke, I think the Dr's are at fault they had just adjusted her medications a few days before. She might of said NO to the increase of potency in her meds if they were not wearing masks when they talked to her last.
The very sad part is when my mom brought her to ER, they forced masks on everyone, she can talk but it is very muffled and soft, can't hear her through a mask, and my Mom is trying to talk to her and calm her down and ask her questions about medications, and the damn nurses and doctors keep yelling at my Mom to put her mask back on. My poor Gram, looking around, not knowing what is happening, even tho they are all chattering away about what the issues are. They deemed her unresponsive at times, but I bet she just didn't know they were talking to her... IDIOTS.
