Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty and countless other stories are all period pieces. They were written long ago when young girls were taken as wives. Why? Perhaps due to shorter lifespans, deaths during childbirth, wars, etc. in some cultures this continues today.

Again, the original books in 1812 have no age for the prince in Snow White. Disney made up a ridiculous number. When there was none needed. There was no source material to go off of to "re-write history".
Or just go read the book yourself. Disney was not writing off of history, they were embellishing their own fantasies and moving the needle to shithole.
Age of consent laws were also already well established as being 16 or over by 1920 in all states but Georgia.
Disney knew what they were doing and normalizing it doesn't make it okay. But I guess you need to feel countenance in implicit pedophilia in children's films because of your own disease.
