We knew about that 30 years or more ago. They did that because they were using GMO for the rest of us and planned on destroying earth with nuclear power. The seed vault has every seed for plants and vegetables known to man so they could come out of their bunkers so long after the nuclear war and replant everything. They also have the soil and everything else they need. A lot of their underground dumbs are so large they not only have housing they also have farms so they can live underground for years like kings. Then once the radiation is cleared they come out and replant. I am glad they are caving in all their underground cities.
