Gah!
Forty years ago I traveled to Mexico with some work buddies. We wanted to see the sights and went on a guided tour of the surrounding jungle-like area on horseback. We saw poor villagers living out in little lean-tos and washing their clothes in the river, in contrast to the modern 5 star hotels that existed close by.
We passed under low branches of heavy vegetation and could see above us thick spider nests in all the trees. The spiders were sitting right above us literally only 12-18 inches above our heads. They were black and the size of my open hand. It freaked me out so bad. Our local guide seemed unbothered, but I was expecting one to drop right on my head or back at any second.
So, if I saw huge parachuting spiders show up in my neighborhood, I'd be having nightmares and calling the City council STAT!
Ahh Fuck that!!(shiver)
