The difference is that J6 actually involved crimes (not saying they were wrong or that it was a big deal, or even that they "should" have been arrested), whereas protesting is not a crime at all in this country (in fact it's a God-given right). In fact, people protest in DC all the time and don't get arrested for it.
How is wasting a million dollars a day in gas by driving in a circle (and increasing the frequency each day), and doing this in different locations (but not any important one or the one that literally everyone thought they were going to) going to produce any change on vaccine mandates (or whatever this is about; I'm not really sure because all the guy in the video says on the matter is that the purpose is to "show them how many of us there are" or something like that).
I honestly think that guy is a fed. He keeps telling people not to do anything (legal) to provoke the police, don't go into DC because we don't want to get arrested, etc. I see him constantly controlling the narrative and making high-level decisions that turn the convoy into nothing but a super-expensive road trip. Constantly spreading fear about people exercising their legal rights. I doubt this is what many of the convoy intended, maybe that is why he gets booed by someone near the beginning. Why did they drive across the entire country to DC only to not even enter it?
The Canada convoy went into Ottawa and parked. These guys aren't even going to go into DC at all, much less protest.
Is there actually any governance going on in Washington DC? If the trucks block the beltway, that will probably prevent anyone from driving in or out of there.
It's good they are doing the Capital Beltway and not going into the federal jurisdiction of Washington DC. They recognize a J6 entrapment.

They don't want to get arrested. Imo they should just go to DC, park, and legally protest indefinitely.
