There's a hymn called "Peace in the Valley" written by Thomas A. Dorsey in 1938.
Elvis made the hymn famous when he sung it on the Ed Sullivan Show in 1957 in support of Hungarian refugees.
From Wikipedia-
The song achieved mass coverage during Elvis Presley's third and final appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show on January 6, 1957. Before an audience estimated at 54.6 million viewers, Presley closed the show by dedicating the song to the 250,000 refugees fleeing Hungary after the 24 and 31 October 1956 double-invasion of that country by the Soviet Union. Because he also requested that immediate aid be sent to lessen their plight, the appeal in turn yielded contributions amounting to US$6 million, or the equivalent of US$49.5 million in today's money.
In any case, the lyrics contain the verse "And the lion shall lay down by the lamb."
Peace in the Valley
Oh well, I'm tired and so weary
But I must go alone
Till the lord comes and calls, calls me away, oh yes
Well the morning's so bright
And the lamp is alight
And the night, night is as black as the sea, oh yes
There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me
Well the bear will be gentle
And the wolves will be tame
And the lion shall lay down by the lamb, oh yes
And the beasts from the wild
Shall be led by a child
And I'll be changed, changed from this creature that I am, oh yes
There will be peace in the valley for me, some day
There will be peace in the valley for me, oh Lord I pray
There'll be no sadness, no sorrow
No trouble, trouble I see
There will be peace in the valley for me, for me
Now read the whole verse in Isaiah. As you can see, the lion and wolf are both present.
Isaiah 11:6-7
6 The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.
7 And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
Martin Luther used the phrase in a Nobel Prize acceptance speech -
And the lion and the lamb shall lie down together and every man shall sit under his own vine and fig tree and none shall be afraid.
I too remember people saying "lion shall lay down with the lamb" but I didn't read the Bible much before 2007.
This is from Gill's Exposition of the Bible-
Ephraim shall not envy Judah, nor Judah vex Ephraim; the sticks of Joseph and Judah shall be one nor will there ever be any more discord between Jew and Gentile,the lion and the lamb shall lie down together;there will be no more war among the nations, after the battle of Armageddon; and no more persecution, after the slaughter of the witnesses; and this abundance of peace, spiritual and temporal, will be as long as the moon endures, ( Psalms 72:7 ) and all this will issue in eternal peace in the world to come: upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom;
I know this hymn now its a really beautiful hymn. The Mandela researchers call these little bits where it wasn't changed as a residual. It is strange as even some early church father's also say wolf.
Its like the ones closest to the Bible have wolf but it's the parts that are not in a direct relation but more in a pop culture or secondary position they say lion.
I know it's sound crazy that somehow they went back in time and changed an early Bible and it filtered through time but it couldn't rewrite or erase the lion reference of every branch that came from the biblical stem.
I read the Bible a bit when I was a child but I never read Isaiah. My grandparents were Christian but the faith wasn't really a big part. Even though I read little bits of the Bible I never read Isaiah.
I only got Isaiah and this verse when I came to the faith. This was when I read this verse and it really stuck out to me, i vividly remember reading this passage to memorise. I read the lion and only knew this verse as that.
So when I saw a video in my research of the Mandela effect on this verse I thought I could easily debunk the theory as my Bible says lion. The same Bible once said lion but now it says wolf.

Many pastors used this book as a resource to write their sermons, as Gill was a contemporary of Charles Spurgeon.
For this particular example, I can see why people would think this could be an example of the Mandela Effect but not sure on this one.
This is a stained glass windows in a Los Angeles church which contains all of the animals-

Lion not lying down with lamb, but is posing with the cow/fatling. Also a wolf chilling on the right.
