Summary: Putin tells NATO that Russia is tired of NATO trying to create a puppet state in Ukraine, and to stop screwing around in Ukraine by encroaching western military assets on the Russian border. That's why he ordered troops into Ukraine- to stop what NATO has been doing there. One wrong move, and this escalates, and he means it.
