Sorry for the black pill… but there’s really no other way to address this issue. we NEED to be prepared for the worst case scenario even though we may not ever get there. And those who have not yet prepared, let’s help them out.
Here’s why one needs to be prepared for the worst…

And I can go ON AND ON AND ON AND ON!!!
I think it’s time we help each other with preparing for potentially the worst. I believe we will jump into a severe depression, so our commodities may actually end up being tradable goods and benefit us.
Please contribute information for our fellow community members who may not understand much about prepping. I will comment below as well.
If you havent been stocking food and resources for the last 2 years you are a special kind of stupid. Keep in mind once cash fails will be back to bartering. This also means you'll be doing some protecting of your goods. Keep your supplies and the level of them to yourself IRL. When shit gets desperate you'll be able to trust very few for awhile. Stuff that barters well aside from precious metals: Booze (I don't drink but I've got enough trade and disinfect with). Tobacco of all kinds. I dont smoke but again it's excellent for bartering. Medications. Simple luxury items like snack cakes and creature comforts. Ammo. More ammo. Still more ammo. Keep a second location that's reachable by foot if possible to store yet another cache. Have plans for an alternative shelter. Comms. Get a radio. Make a plan with family. My family has a 3 way walkie talkie unit with a range large enough to be used amongst all 3 of us allowing us to be reachable to each other when phones quit working. You can read many of the militaries field manuals for free. Find them at zlib.org. get some solar charging units incase the phones do work but the power does not. Stash vitamins so you can keep your strength up if having to eat a limited diet. Were heading into planting season - get to planting. Need gardening guides? Again, zlib.org. Learn how to sharpen a knife and axe. Buy one if you havent already. You should already have a pocket knife on you always. If you don't then go buy one.
It'll get scary before it gets better but it will get better. Godspeed.
