I think it is important to speak truthfully. If Russia is at fault, then one would have to also argue that the US would be at fault if it invaded Cuba or Mexico to keep China or Russia from setting up military bases with offensive weapons aimed at the US in said countries. The suggestion that NATO should intervene in Ukraine is recklessly irresponsible, and such action would set off a world war in which millions would likely die. I understand the 4d chess angle, but Trump’s statements getting hard to excuse.
