16 Anyone know where I can buy real, in hand, physical silver bullion coins? What are local bullion dealers officially called and what's the best way to look them up? I'd rather not order anything online, but if you have a good suggestion I'm all ears. Call private Jewlers. Many have bullion departments.
I've thought about this, but apparently they have exclusivity contracts that prevent you from buying the straight bullion at comparative rates.
Besides, jeweler's rarely use 100% gold or silver. It's almost always an alloy because the pure metals are too soft to work with.
My local Jeweler has a dedicated bullion department. They sell for 3% over spot price, and buy at spot. I just bought kilo, bars, 5 oz bars, 1 oz. bars, rounds and coins of .999 fine silver.
Alright, I gotta check this out some more then.
