My first and last experience with eating at a china buffet resulted in my biting into something that tasted of black licorice in the chicken chow mien. When I asked the waitress what it was that I was tasting, she told me it was fish eyes...pronounced feesh eiss. I nearly lost it right there at the table but managed to make it to the parking lot.
