It is indeed all the same.

There is however one silver lining with the crypto markets — the on-chain data is transparent and immediate. You can see when a potential dump will occur, or you can read the data ahead of time to know if a crypto investment is highly speculative (gambling basically) or a bet on innovation, etc etc.

Not so with the equities market, it’s all obfuscated and restricted. Unless you have access to inside information, you are a bag holder and can be taken advantage of anytime, every time.
