idk, the whole adoption thing is just weird (outside of family)

i know a couple who went to great trouble, and great expense, to adopt an ethnic child from a trendy foreign country.

it felt like they were shopping for a new puppy, and deciding what breed they wanted, based on which breed they thought would most impress their friends.
