Same with the civil war narrative they like to spew. While slavery did play a role, that is not what the war was about.... and Lincoln only freed the slaves to punish the south, they still had slaves in the north for a little while after it was made illegal in the south.
But the "victors" get to write the history... once everything goes all digital, they will be able to change the course of history with a few key strokes.
