I used 3-4 large whole raw peeled garlic cloves and smashed them into the bottom of a mug, added a bit of water and let sit for ten minutes. Crushing releases the allicin. Then I shot the whole mess down and tried not to puke. Repeat three times a day for one week. I’m not gonna lie, it can be ABSOLUTELY brutal. But I was desperate. I had pretty severe gut dysbiosis following mega dosing of antibiotics due to appendix rupture in 2010. Doctors would not help, merely prescribing more drugs/antibiotics which were making things worse. I was sliding into full blown inflammatory bowel disease and the only thing I was offered was bowel resection and a lifetime of pharmaceuticals.

I’ve since read that high quality oil of oregano works well too, as does a high dose standardized extract of olive leaf. But there’s something in whole raw garlic that disrupts biofilms.
