They are being given every opportunity, that's for sure. I think the best timing is closer to midterms. This would allow Trump to get the remainder of the residents term and a full 4 years after. If Trump went in before the midterms, he would only get the remainder of the resident's term and not be able to run for 4 more. I'd rather have 6 years than 2.
