being a native Texan, i was glad to see your description of county judge in Texas...been a huge gripe of mine, as to why the position is called "judge" when it really means a county administrator, not a legal judge...not sure how it came to be called county judge, because it is basically the top administrator over the county commisioners/commissions...
A county judge in Texas is like a mayor of a city. She’s like the mayor of Harris County. This is a big deal.
