Even cheaper than crisco candles, I keep used grease from cooking (like bacon grease) in a jar until enough for a candle, just be sure you strained it good to get tiny bits out. I call these meat candles.
When God tells you to move, you dont go gathering your preps before you go.
That being said i agree in the sense he tells us to have seven years of food. The Lord has bless me with the ability to food prep, defense prep, and spiritually prep.
You can have all the food in the world but if your spirit fails, none of it matters.
Piker. Heck, I thought you had a lot until I began looking. I've got that just in my kitchen pantry. Twice as much down in the prep room, along with a freezer of beef/chicken/pork and a lot of kero heaters and lamps. Got any water filters and barrels to store the water in? But, not to bust your chops too hard, you've done good. Just be prudent and think about how long that stash will keep you alive. Now double or triple the amount so when the hard times come you can assist others. Your neighbors will become your friends in order to keep themselves alive when the hordes of desperados come to your area. Learn to like all of your neighbors because you will need each other. Bartering will become a necessity and a "light" stash won't last long during a very cold winter. Good start, my friend, but having more is going to feel really comfortable when the hard times come.
Bible, bullets, beans, spices and lard

I feel ya. We are going to have to start dipping into our pantry. We are really starting to feel the pain.
True.
The world around us is a cornucopia. If you know you know right?
We've been making a point of learning a new food to forage when we are in the woods. We focus on one for a while so we become familiar with it.
My message is about the time in which we may need to flee. And i do not disagree with what you are saying one bit.
If you are familiar with those verses great, if not check em out
