After my mountain bike ride yesterday I stopped by a nearby gas station and the price was just under $6 for 87 octane in the San Diego area. I've never hit $80 in my life before. The man on the other side of the pump said he just spent $200 filling up his newer Chevy Duramax pickup. He asked me what I thought of the bombing of civilian hospitals and innocent civilians in the Ukraine by the Russians and I told him to stop watching fake news.
Nice good, funny My husband and I stopped to get gas, hubby was grumbling about the amount, the guy on the other side of the pump said “Don’t blame me I voted for Trump!” My husband said “So did I” they did a handshake talked a few laughed and off we went! There are more of us then we know!
If it was at mission trails I wonder if it was the same lady I almost chewed out for bringing her kids up kwaay paay with masks. Her kids looked like they were going to keel over and die.
Hello. This was at the Lake Hodges area of North County. She could have been watching the kids for another family.
I would imagine that Mission Trails area gets pretty hot as it's right next to Santee.
Sometimes I hike around Dixon Lake area and Daily Ranch.
So many people hiking these days. Great exercise.
Nice! I never make it up to north county to stomp around. I tend to just stick to east county and melt in the process. More people need to get out and hit the trails, especially with our current affairs. It definitely clears the mind.
Hubby was watching black and white sports network, and I think it was John was talking about how high gas prices are and then, he showed the sticker of Biden smiling with the words "I did that" pointing to the price of gas. I laughed and told him I know someone from here put that sticker there! Good job! What a way to start the day.
Here's another interesting thing I noticed this morning...I'm on the interstate for about a half hour of my drive to work. There are 4 of those lit message signs over the road in that short distance. For two years they have consistently flashed ominous and threatening messages about covid. They even knocked amber alerts out of the running. (This is in NY). I know these signs very well because it became my routine to give them each the middle finger every time I drive under.
On my way home this morning every single one of those signs said 'DONT DRIVE DROUSY'. 'STAY AWAKE STAY ALIVE'.
What the heck? I wish I was smart enough to hack into whatever program runs those signs. I have some things to say.

There was a woman with her three children walking on the level dirt trail and the kids all had masks on but she didn't. That was weird.
