Just got a notice from my parts supplier in Shenzhen.
All businesses in Shenzhen, China's manufacturing hub, are closed effective immediately for an indefinite period. That includes all shipping companies including FedEx. NOTHING is going in or out of the most important manufacturing hub in the world right now, and there is no timeframe on when it may reopen.
Supposedly, this is due to a Coronavirus outbreak. We all know that reason is crap. I suspect the invasion of Taiwan is about to begin. Can't think of any other event big enough to warrant this.
Just thought I would pass along the information in case anyone had any doubts.
you're absolutely right; these restrictions are a response to a few cases (last i heard was two cases which were found about a mile from where i live), so i think something clandestine is definitely in the works.
Im unvaccinated for covid, so boarding an international flight has not been so easy for me. but now, with current shutdowns, definitely not possible. thanks for your regards, and if its not too much, pray for my family back home in Nebraska. God bless!
I dont even know what 'vaccination' rates in china are, or if there is sufficient social capital perhaps bolstered with the social credit score thing to feasibly either force or convince people to take them. But I saw earlier today that what was suspected to be a less deadly vaccine than the pfizer/moderna/AZ/J&J ones is seemingly still sickening and killing lots of people:

Being pure-blooded is huge though, if you have that going for you likely you will fare much better than your neighbors. Flights will be the first thing to be ceased if things go hot with taiwan so vax status wont matter much anyways.
Bless you and yours as well.
