I am a phenomenal speller but must proofread every single thing because the auto-correct and predictive spelling looks like it's being done by a 1st grader from China who doesn't speak English. Also could be that the school system doesn't have time to teach spelling cause they're too busy teaching about gender diversity.

Actually, many schools have ditched the "traditional" Spelling Lessons and incorporated it all under "Language Arts". IMO, that's a big mistake.
