Ah, you're right! The blood sample story was just revealed.

Let's see, its appearance in Italy was due to China using underpaid Chinese nationals working in Italian shops making leather goods, so it could be marked as "made in Italy." These workers then travelled home to China during the holidays. Originally I heard that story as workers bringing it from Wuhan to Italy, but maybe it was the other way around?
